Product details
Planks are important components mounted on horizontal ledgers or vertical standards of scaffolding system, providing workers with a platform for standing, walking, placing tools and materials, which can effectively transfer the weight of personnel, tools, materials to horizontal ledgers, vertical standards and other supporting structures. Some are equipped with toe guards at the edges to prevent materials from falling.
Type | Main material | Core characteristics | Application Scenarios |
Steel plank | Q235 | High strength, fireproof and corrosion-resistant, with anti-slip surface treatment, but heavy and costly. | High-rise buildings, bridges, industrial plants and other heavy-load scenarios. |
Alum plank | Alum alloy | Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, but costly and slightly lower strength than steel planks | High work platform, stage construction or anti-corrosion required scenarios. |
Composite material plank | Metal frame + plastic honeycomb board | Lightweight, high strength, water-resistant, anti-aging, recyclable, repeatable usage | Commercial buildings and municipal projects with strict environmental protection requirements. |
●Hook-type: The hooks at both ends are directly attached to the horizontal ledger, particularly suitable ringlock scaffolding due to fast assembly.
●Screw type: Fixed on horizontal ledgers or vertical standards by screws, providing a stable connection but requiring tool operation.
●Snap-on type: Fastened to the scaffolding with elastic snap-in mechanism, suitable for lightweight or temporary construction scenarios.
Planks usually erected with horizontal ledgers, vertical standards, and bottom braces, such as steel planks are connected to horizontal ledgers of ringlock or cuplock scaffolding through hooks, forming a modular system; wooden or bamboo planks ask for additional horizontal support bar for bearing and fixed by wire binding to prevent displacement.
