Product details

Coupling pin is an important component used for the connection of steel tubes that installed inside two steel tubes and can be extended or joined by means of insertion or bolt fixation. It appears cylindrical shape, made of Q235B carbon steel or Q355B low alloy high strength steel. The outer diameter is 1-2mm shorter than the inner diameter of the scaffold steel tube, much convenient for insertion.

There are two types of joint pins that refer to threaded type and slot type. The threaded type is fixed by bolts through drilling holes on the tube outer wall. The two ends of the slot-type joint pin are equipped with elastic tenons. After inserted, the tenons pop out to clamp the inner wall, achieving quick connection.

For high-rise building scaffolding system, two adjacent vertical standards are joined together through Coupling pin in case of separate insufficient length to keep rods on the same axis, ensuring the even transmission of perpendicular loads.

At the nodes where the force is concentrated on the scaffold (ledger and standard joints), Coupling pin plays the role of a reinforcing component to prevent the node from loosening due to repeated loads after inserting into the tube.


Flexible construction of non-standard structures

 

In irregular-shaped scaffolding, Coupling pin can assist in adjusting the angles of tubes. Through the combination of multiple sections of “tubes + joint pin, the construction of non-linear frames can be achieved.
