The vertical standard is perpendicular load-bearing component of the scaffolding. It is connected to the horizontal ledgers and diagonal braces through the cuplock, forming a spatial frame structure, bearing the vertical loads from the upper part and transmitting the force to the foundation. The basic structure of the vertical standard includes main steel tube and cuplock node. The tube is made of Q235 carbon steel with a dimension of 48.3*3.5mm and the cuplock node is composed of upper cuplock, lower cuplock as well as fastening pin. The lower cuplock is welded on the main tube, in aims to receive the plug of the horizontal ledger or diagonal brace and the tube goes through the center of the upper cuplock, thus a rigid connection can be achieved by rotating and pressing the upper cuplock. The fastening pin is mounted on the edge of the lower cuplock by welding to prevent the upper cuplock from moving axially.
