Cross Bracing

Features:

• Resistance to lateral forces. In the vertical direction, cross bracing can effectively transfer horizontal loads, preventing the frame from tilting or deforming against lateral force, and enhancing the overall anti-overturning capability.

• Connecting the frame units.Connect adjacent frames along the lateral direction to form a complete framework, avoiding individual unit to bear the load alone, and ensuring the loads are evenly distributed among multiple frame units.

• Maintain shape integrity.Cross braces, together with standards and ledges, form multiple triangular structures, which can effectively restrict the deformation of the frame, guarantee the designed geometric shape unchanged, and avoid potential hazards.

• Auxiliary stabilization for vertical standard.Longitudinal displacement and bending deformation of vertical standard are prohibited by oblique tension of cross bracing, and the stability of the vertical standard under vertical loads is guaranteed.

Product details

The cross bracing is an important connecting component of frame scaffold, used to enhance the vertical stability. It’s usually formed by two equal-length steel members (mostly round tubes or angle steels) that are hinged together at the center through a rotating shaft (or bolt), creating an "X" shape cross structure. At both ends of the members, there are fasteners or plugs connecting to the frame vertical rods, of which the sizes match the connecting nodes on the rods to ensure a secure connection. Common steel tube specifications include Ф42.7*2.5mm, Ф48.3*3.6mm, etc.

Collaboration with Other Components

The cross bracing works in conjunction with components such as the horizontal grid and bottom sweeper, forming a three-dimensional stable system:

● The cross bracing is responsible for the diagonal stability in the vertical plane, while the horizontal grid for the overall connection in the horizontal plane, thus making the scaffolding a more rigid spatial structure.

● For scaffolding with a higher height, the setting density of the cross bracing (such as an increased layout) is to be adjusted according to design specifications to meet higher stability requirements.
